Bernard Moitessier wrote that
‘the person who can write a really good book on the sea is probably not yet born, or else is already senile, because one would have to sail a hundred years to know it well enough.’
Moitessier goes on to add , that
the K Adlard Coles ‘Heavy Weather Sailing’ is a real accomplishment as it does not flatly affirm anything but presents lots of facts, letting each reader weigh them in the light of his or her own observations.
